Hebrews were the first monotheistic people in the whole world.Firstly, the Hebrews were the first monotheistic people in the whole world because they received from God the covenant and a group called Patriarchs kept alive that alliance in a polytheistic world.

Secondly, the Hebrews were the first monotheistic people in the whole world they stood in front of a lot of polytheistic peoples such as Egyptians, Greeks, Mesopotamians.

Thirdly, the Hebrews were the first monotheistic people in the whole world like the Sumerians who created an accounting system for the first time in History that set them apart from the rest of the world. 

Conclusion:

The Hebrews were the first monotheistic people in the whole world because the covenant given by God, an alliance kept alive by a group called Patriarchs. They were a monotheistic island in the middle of polytheistic people such as Egyptians, Greeks, and Mesopotamians, that characteristic differentiated them from the rest of the world.
